SCHOOL CLOSED
Monday, January 16, 2012 school will be closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Day. There will be no school, afterschool or camp programming.

Monday, January 23, 2012 school will be closed for a Teacher Planning Day. We have a wonderful camp day planned with a field trip to the Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead. The Fruit & Spice Park is the only tropical botanical garden of its kind in the United States. On our nature walk through the park we can pick fresh strawberries and other fruit and taste their natural goodness fresh from the vine! We have spaces available. The price is $105. If you have not registered for camp, please call Alessandra at (305) 271-8790.

How many box tops have you collected for our school? Many of the foods and household products that you buy everyday qualify for “Boxtops for Education” rewards for the Carrie Brazer Center for Autism. Look for the coupon on the box (see image below). All you need to do is to cut out the coupons; tell your family and friends to help collect coupons, and bring them all in to your child’s teacher. We will have a “counting” day sometime in February to find out how much we have earned!

Carrie Brazer Center for Autism Fundraiser:

It is with deep regret that we are canceling our upcoming gala, “Comedy for the Kids” at the Ritz Carlton on Saturday, October 29th. The state of the economy has made a tremendous impact on our efforts to sell tickets. Our sales to date are down considerably from our last event and we do not feel we can sell enough tickets to support our event at the Ritz Carlton.

However, we want to continue our efforts to solicit and collect Silent Auction donations and monetary donations for our center. We are planning to conduct our Silent Auction online and at our schools.

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of all of you who have supported the event by collecting silent auction items, selling raffle tickets, and soliciting monetary donations. We hope you will continue your efforts to help us raise funds for our center. Our 50/50 raffle drawing will be held on October 29th as scheduled and the winners will be notified. Our Silent Auction will continue online through November 7th.

Please inform us if there is anyone who would like to have their donations or ticket purchases returned. However, please remind them that we are a 501(c)(3), non profit organization and all donations are tax deductible and help our center continue to thrive.

Thank you again for supporting the Carrie Brazer Center for Autism.

Welcome Back to School!

We are excited for our new school year and are pleased to welcome our new students and our returning students for our 2011-12 School Year. They must wait until the class transitions to the next subject. Teachers’ classroom schedules will be posted on the “Teachers” button on our website. Please open and print the attached form about our Late Arrival Policy.
